Attorney Scott Hahn's dedication to helping survivors of domestic violence/sexual assault as a family law attorney led him to focus in that practice area during most of his nearly ten years in practice. He brings that focused experience to his advocacy for clients of Hightower Reff Law.
Scott is an Omaha native and 2006, graduate of the Creighton University School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University in 2001 - a BA with a History and Political Science dual major, Summa Cum Laude.
Beginning in 2008, Scott served as the Client Attorney at the Women's Center for Advancement in Omaha (Formerly the YWCA), where he worked until joining Hightower Reff in 2015. During his time at the Women's Center for Advancement (WCA), the majority of Scott's legal work involved family law and immigration issues, with an emphasis on domestic violence/sexual assault.
While working as the sole attorney for WCA clients, Scott pioneered a new program to expand the organization's ability to help domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. Beginning in the spring of 2014, he partnered with private attorneys to begin a monthly WCA Legal Clinic to help people representing themselves in family law cases.
Scott also led the WCA's successful effort to become a social services agency recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Scott is an active member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Omaha Bar Association, an alumni of the NSBA's Leadership Academy and Alpha Sigma Nu, and a member of the Rotary Club of Omaha Suburban where he frequently volunteers. In addition to his volunteer activities, in his spare time, Scott enjoys traveling, good books and movies and long-distance running.
